How to Play the Way of the Cobalt Soul
The Way of the Cobalt Soul involves channelling energy for self-empowerment. It uses the cobra as a weapon to inflict damage against enemies and weakening their defences. The cobra is similar to a ninja assassin’s weapon and a powerful tool for combat. A master of this craft allows one to cause great destruction with the cobra, weakening his opponents and increasing his power.
The Way of the Cobalt Soul starts when you make a genuine commitment to the practice of meditation and self-empowerment. This creature is not to be harmed by ordinary weapons such as those made from fire or light.
The cobra is created by channelling the forces of nature against itself and is not subject to customary laws of combat or weaponry. When the cobra is created, the creator’s mind becomes the formless object known as the cobra. The Cobalt is the most dangerous of all the gods of fortune.
The Cobalt Soul Abilities
The Cobalt is the last subclass of the seven different godly classes. The Cobalt Soul has access to the most potent abilities among all the castes. While other subschools specialize in using weapons and armour, this class is the only one that can mystically use weapons and armour. This subclass is closely related to the Paladin regarding both their stance and capabilities in fighting and armour usage.
The Way of the Cobalt Soul uses the powers of nature against enemies and its allies. The monks of the Way of the Cobalt Soul excel in melee combat and deal out quick damage, but they have very little defence against enemy attacks. They can, however, regenerate health and restore data quickly, making them perfect for quick, devastating attacks. A monk who chooses this subclass must also equip him or herself with heavy armour. They are highly vulnerable to status effects, so care must be used when choosing equipment for these enemies.
The second subclass of the Way of the Cobalt Soul is the Priests. Priests are masters of healing and restoration, using channel divinity to heal the allies and restore the party to full strength. While paladins are more offensive than healing, Priests can take on a defensive stance and still execute a powerful attack. Both subclasses must be of a Light affinity.
The third subclass of the cobalt soul is the knowing mistress. The Knowing Mistress is a rare creature, a being waiting for the PCs to come into their vision. When the PCs enter her vision, she sees the entire monastery crumbling around them, and she does nothing to help but instead watches.

The fourth subclass of the cobalt soul monks is called the ascetic. Ascetics channel their internal energy to heal others and themselves. They are the most balanced of all of the monks, using both physical and spiritual powers. At the 17th level, they can turn their bodies into nonphysical states, becoming nigh-invulnerability. These abilities make them excellent fighters, as well as the most versatile of all of the monks.
The Way of the Cobalt Soul does require that you spend ki points to be able to use some of your abilities. You start with one point, and you can add or take away points as you feel necessary. If you find that you aren’t prepared to spend many points on your monk, you can pick up several different build styles, including the duelling style, the protective style, or the focused form. You can also choose to spend ki points on training instead of monk abilities.
